Boy Pulls Knife, Robs Victim At Middle School On Long Island: Police

An alleged robbery on a Long Island middle school’s soccer field has led to the arrest of a boy, police said.

It happened on Thursday, May 2 in Uniondale, according to Nassau County Police.

The juvenile robber — whose name and age have not been released — is alleged to have walked up to a 13-year-old on the soccer field of Turtle Hook Middle School, located at 975 Jerusalem Avenue.

He then reportedly pulled a knife on the victim before ripping off the victim’s sweatshirt and running away.

Police located the alleged robber a short time later and he was placed under arrest.

The juvenile is charged with:

  • Robbery;
  • Criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds; and
  • Menacing.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at Family Court on Tuesday, May 14.
